The main objective of this project is to pick three books that some how relate to each other, and create book series set. Three famous inventors were chosen (Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, and Albert Einstein) in this project.
When we think about them, they are usually described as very imaginative, weird, adventurous among other things. ‘Imaginative’ was chosen as a thematic treatment in this project. In the main illustration, the brain is a consistent object to indicate ‘their own world’ or their ‘mind set’. The floating or orbiting objects vary on each cover to represent the individual inventors inventions.
Many students tend to read biographies,and therefore the overall illustration is very fun and very colourful. A series of icons were used on the book cover designs as thematic treatment. Other than the main illustration, everything was kept very clean and simple to maintain the contemporary look to it and not to make the look of the book too childish.
